So you've probably seen floating around the interwebs at this point the "
How to Pose Like a Fashion Blogger" post from a blog called
Not So Lonely Londoners, which is a fashion blog written by a straight, stylish,
British,
male. Sigh. (If he happens to be reading this - I know I've never met
you, and this is crazy, but I'm a blogger, so follow me maybe?)
Um,
anyways, he did a hilarious post on his interpretations of popular
fashion blogger poses for personal style photos. They were pretty spot
on, and really funny. And then imagine him saying everything in a
British accent and it becomes even
sexier funnier and more charming.
Just to be clear: I did not come up with the names of or the ideas for these poses. I just liked the original post so much that I wanted to do my own little take on it.
 |
| I was excited to get started! |
Pose 1: The Flamingo
 |
| Had some trouble with it. |
|
|
|
|
 |
| Had some more trouble with it. |
 |
| Found that leaning against a wall helps. |
Pose 2: The Monroe
 |
| This pose
requires you to lift up part of your garment. To be honest, I don't see
it overly used by fashion bloggers, but I have definitely seen it here
and there. |
Pose 3: Best Foot Forward
 |
| This is
supposed to give the impression you are walking somewhere and someone
just happened to see you and want to snap your picture because of how
fabulous you look. The tell-tale smirk on my face implies otherwise. |
 |
| Also, don't walk out of the frame. Just give the impression that you're walking. |
Pose 4: The Tilt
 |
| Try it one way. |
 |
| Try it the other way. |
Pose 5: The Laugh
 |
| Oh yeah, that looks natural. |
 |
| A little better. Just try to think of something funny. Like my face in the picture before this. |
Pose 6: The Agony
 |
| Sometimes Bloggin' Ain't Easy. |
Now let me just be normal for a hot sec.
 |
| Top: Victoria's Secret (similar)/Pants: Urban Outfitters (old, similar here)/Shoes: Missoni for Target/Bag: LV/Shades: Ray-ban/Purse Charm: Lou Lou/Watch: MbyMJ/Pyramid Bracelets: F21 (similar here) |
Hope you got a few laughs!
